Biography

Yuki Serino, born in Rome in 2006 into a family of musicians, began studying the violin at the age of 3 under the guidance of her parents. She is currently enrolled in the Pre-College program at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she studies with Pierre Amoyal. She has also studied with Giuliano Carmignola and Georg Egger.

In 2023, she performed with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, where she achieved great success and was awarded the “K. Troussov Next Generation Prize” and the “Booster Club Scholarship,” in addition to receiving an invitation for future concert seasons.

That same spring, she was invited to Japan to take part in a tour with the “Seiji Ozawa Academy,” where she had the opportunity to serve as concertmaster and perform in prestigious venues such as the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (Main Hall), Aichi Prefectural Art Theater (Main Hall), and the ROHM Theatre in Kyoto.

She has been invited to numerous festivals as a soloist, including Bolzano Festival Bozen (with the Streicherakademie Bozen), the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks (where she has been invited again for the next season to perform Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto), the San Leo Festival, and more. She has collaborated with internationally renowned musicians such as G. Carmignola, U. B. Michelangeli, D. Matheuz, R. Mühlemann, S. Azzolini, among others. In March 2024, she was invited to perform a contemporary solo violin piece at the Großer Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

Yuki has also appeared as a chamber musician alongside principals from Teatro alla Scala, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra Mozart, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, and Mahler Chamber Orchestra.

She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in prestigious venues such as the Kursaal in Merano, Großer Saal and Solitär of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Gustav Mahler Hall in Dobbiaco, the Staller Center Recital Hall in New York (where she won 2nd Prize at the J.S. Bach Competition), the Auditorium in Bolzano, the Teatro Comunale in Vicenza, among others.

In addition, she has shown a strong interest in early music, demonstrated on various occasions through collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists such as V. Ghielmi, D. Oberlinger, G. Carmignola, A. Bernardini, H. Kurosaki, M. Hirasaki, F. Birsak, and M. Testori.
